The UAlbany Football team is having one of their best seasons under head coach Greg Gattuso.  They have a real strong chance to make the playoffs and currently sit at 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the CAA conference.  They are coming off of a dominating win on the road in Orono Maine and beat Maine 37-21.  It was the program's first win at Maine since 2014 snapping a 9 year drought.  Quarterback Reese Poffenbarger has looked as accurate and good as he has throughout his UAlbany career thus far in year two.  Next up for the Great Danes is William & Mary on Saturday at home at Casey Stadium at 1 p.m.  They are good and right behind UAlbany in the CAA standings.  There should be a huge crowd with big stakes on the line.  UAlbany is unbeaten at 3-0 at home this year and has won each game by at least 21 points.  It shapes up for one on Saturday afternoon.

MJ and I had on UAlbany football head coach Greg Gattuso earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports.  He was in studio and we have him on every Wednesday for our weekly UAlbany football coaches show segment.  Below is our full interview with him from earlier today.

It should be a very good game vs a tough William & Mary team.  If UAlbany plays their game like Coach always tells us and create big plays and win the turnover battle than they should be fine.  If they win all three of their last games or even two of the three than they will be fine and in the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
