It's been almost a month since the last time we had Newsday's Steve Popper on the show. In that time the Knicks have gone 7-4 and Julius Randle has become a real candidate to start in the NBA All-Star Game on March 7th. Popper seemed less than optimistic at that point about the Knicks talent both now and in the near future. Have the Knicks and more directly Forward Julius Randle showed enough in the last few weeks to change Popper's opinion of them?

The short answer is yes, kind of. I opened the interview asking if they had won him over and reminding him of his former critique. I was instantly hit with a joke about the Knicks record being below .500. Which honestly was well played and very funny but the rest of the call you could hear that the Knicks were not as terrible as he thought before. Julius Randle had even evolved his game to the point Popper posed the question "should the Knicks extend and maybe even resign him?" Hear it for yourself, listen below.

Make sure you vote for Julius Randle to be in the NBA All-Star game! What would be better than finally seeing a New York Knick starting in the All-Start game? the New York Knicks haven't had a fan-voted All-Star since Carmelo Anthony in 2015-2016.
