Finally the New York Knicks landed a superstar player in Karl Anthony Towns.  He fills a lot of holes and checks a lot of missing boxes for this team and it appears to be a great move on paper.  The Knicks did lose both Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle who both had great Knick careers, but if you want to go win the Eastern Conference and an NBA Championship you have to make some sacrifices in trades.  Now the Knicks on paper are one of the best teams in the entire East led by Jalen Brunson.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

It’s taken decades but the New York Knicks finally hit the jackpot. The Knicks landed Karl -Anthony Towns a superstar player they could never attract because their roster wasn't good enough to win a championship. By adding Towns the Knicks can know win the East and make a run at winning a World Championship. Knicks fans should be ecstatic because this is the trade that has been longtime in the making.

General manager Leon Rose deserves a ton of credit in what he has done regarding the front office and these recent trades.  It has been 52 years since the Knicks have won an NBA championship and this brings them one step closer.  I am very happy for the Knicks and their fans as they deserve to be happy and have a championship contending team.  The season begins in less than a month and I can't wait.
