MAAC Sets Date For Start Of Fall Competition

The MAAC Council of Presidents has decided that all Fall Sports conference and non-conference will begin on September 11th, 2020. This will make for a level playing field across the entire MAAC and reportedly would still allow the Siena Saints basketball teams to complete a full season.

The Siena Saints Men's Basketball team had already planned on beginning it's season on November 10th when they would host Colgate at the Times Union Center. Obviously there are still many days and possible issues that could arise between now and September 11th but this is a positive sign that MAAC Athletics is prepared to move forward.

In a press release from the MAAC, the conference outlined it's return to campus protocols and stated there would be a follow-up meeting on July 15th to determine is basketball mini-camps could be held on campus.
