Tonight on this Thursday we have a rare event in the Capital Region.  All four local college basketball teams play on the same night which is extremely rare but awesome at the same time.  Both UAlbany men and women play Bryant on the road and at home and the Siena men and women play on the road and at home against Sacred Heart.  For Siena and UAlbany men, they both are in need of wins to get to an even .500 record in the America East and the MAAC.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

It's still early but it will get late very quickly for both the UAlbany and Siena men's basketball teams. Both teams are home on Thursday against Bryant and Sacred Heart and both teams need wins to stay at .500 in their respective conferences.  Both teams are coming off lopsided road loses to Maine and Quinnipiac, but one win changes the climate moving forward.  The Great Danes need a big defensive effort to beat Bryant and Siena can say the same things against Sacred Heart. And it wouldn't hurt if Siena and UAlbany have a good night shooting from three-point range.

The Siena women have been very impressive with all of the injuries that they have suffered.  And I have said it many times before on Big Board Sports but Colleen Mullen's UAlbany women's team is unbeaten in the conference and has a legitimate shot to make the NCAA Tournament because they are that good.
