The 2016 MLB season is officially underway after yesterday's games. The biggest game of the day was the World Series rematch between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals.

The Royals once again showed why they are the champs as they defeated the Mets 4-3.

Matt Harvey was given the loss after giving up all 4 runs (3 ER) in his 5.2 innings pitched.

Royals 1B Eric Hosmer had the hot bat as he went 3-for-4 and help the Royals put Harvey in a few jams early in the game.

The Mets scored all three of their runs in the 8th inning. Lucas Duda had a two-run single that got the scoring started, but after that there wasn't much as their offense seemed stagnant throughout the game.

If anything, Mets fans need to not freak out about the team and Harvey in particular. This was only game 1-of-162.
