New York Yankees' Third Baseman Miguel Andujar has elected to undergo surgery on his right shoulder to repair a small tear in his labrum. Surgery will effectively end Andujar's season.

Andujar was just replaced on the Injured List after attempting to put off surgery and rehab his way back into the Yankees starting lineup. Sadly Andujar was visibly not the player that came in second in the Rookie of the Year voting last season. The Yankees have been ravaged by injuries this season and luckily players like Gio Urshela have stepped up in the absence of the Yankees' stars. With any luck Andujar's surgery and rehab will go smoothly and he will be able to rejoin the club to start next season.
