NYRA President and CEO Chris Kay warned 104.5 The Team listeners two weeks ago that they needed to quickly purchase their Travers tickets before it was sold out.

Kay foreshadowed the sellout, a day after announcing that for the first time in it's history, the Travers Stakes would be capped at 50,000.

With the confirmation that American Pharoah's crew would be taking the Triple Crown horse to Saratoga for next weekend's race, Kay was excited with what's coming up in the near future.

"This building will rock, the backyard will be so much fun," Kay told Matt Hunter of Time Warner Cable News, on Sunday afternoon. "Everybody that thought ahead to buy a ticket, will be rewarded with a great day."

Pharoah will be the fourth Triple Crown winner to run in the Travers and would only be the second, if he were to win. Whether Pharoah crosses the finish line first or not, Kay still believes it's going to be a magical weekend in Saratoga.

"It will be electric. We will have American Pharoah, the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years, but we also have an incredible card. This is Saratoga’s version of a Breeder’s Cup on a Saratoga Saturday. The entire weekend will be full of energy, world class horse racing, and a lot of fun.

"I think it’s going to be great for the track, it’s going to be great for the track. It’s going to be Pharoatoga for the weekend. We hope that we see a record amount gamble on that Saturday."

NYRA President and CEO Chris Kay will join 'Armen and Levack' this Thursday at 3:15p ET, LIVE from Saratoga Race Course, to preview this weekend's Travers Stakes with American Pharoah.
