What To Expect For The 2024 Travers Stakes at Saratoga?

It is finally here on Saturday, the running of the Travers Stakes.  The best weekend of the year in Saratoga and boy what a loaded and great field it will be.  The field of eight has several great horses and of course Chad Brown has a few in the race.  It all has been building up to this on what has been an awesome summer at the Spa especially with the weather.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The 154th Travers Field is one of the strongest we've had in a while. You can make a case for 5 of the 8 three-year-olds winning on Saturday. The top 4 of Dornoch, Fierceness, the filly Thorpedo Anna and Sierra Leone can all hit the winner's circle. And when a filly tries to beat the boys, it can only add to the hype of the Mid-Summer Derby. The distance of 1 1/4 sets up perfect for trainer Chad Brown and Sierra Leone.

I still haven't even made up my mind on which horse I will pick and bet on.  I always like taking Chad Brown as he has a winning reputation and pedigree in Saratoga.  There have been so many more fans overall this summer too with the Belmont Stakes being in Saratoga.  It has been such a nice addition with even more love and coverage in Saratoga.  I will be heading up on Saturday in my party bus with some friends, family and coworkers which is always an awesome annual experience.  Enjoy the Travers everybody.
