The number of regular season games and even more so the number of home games is dwindling, but RPI does have momentum on its side. The Engineers are coming off a "win" in the Mayor's Cup on Saturday night with a weekend of home games in front of them. The word win gets parentheses because you'll find the eighth annual Mayor's Cup game marked as a tie for both RPI and Union in the standings. However, RPI won the shootout and the Houston Field House is now the place of residence for the trophy.

And so, throwing out that technicality, the Engineers have won three of their last four games. All conference points are valuable as they hit the homestretch. Up first this weekend is Dartmouth which holds fourth place in the ECAC, but only one point ahead of RPI which is in a 3-way tie for fifth. After Dartmouth, in comes Vermont for the 43rd annual Big Red Freakout.

Owen Savory has been more than strong in goal over his last four games. The sophomore has 113 saves and only two goals allowed over that span and twice he's been named ECAC Goalie of the Week.
