It was quite a weekend for Schenectady's Casper Wells.

The Seattle outfielder homered two straight days as the Mariners took two of three from the Boston Red Sox over the weekend.

In Seattle's 5-4 win on Saturday, Wells went 2 for 4 with a homerun (off of Josh Beckett) and 2 RBIs.

He then followed it up on Sunday with another homer as Seattle denied Tim Wakefield his 200th career victory with a 5-3 victory over visiting Boston.

Sunday's homer by Wells gave the Mariners a 5-1 lead with a leadoff blast in the sixth.  He went 1 for 3 with a stolen base in the victory.

The Schenectady native was traded by Detroit to Seattle on July 30th and is hitting .327 with 3 homeruns and 9 RBIs in 10 games with his new club.

For the season, Wells is batting .275 with 7 homers and 21 RBIs.
