Class AA: Shenendehowa and Shaker earn the top seeds. Shen is 7-0 and looks very good. At No. 5 in the state, they are big and physical and are capable of running the ball with two-headed monster of Matt Taft and Oliver Robinson. Ryan VanGalen is a very good passer, and he has a great weapon in Jordan Zlogar on the outside. Shaker is 6-1.

Class A: Queensbury is the top seed in the Northwest Division after going 7-0 this year. They are also No. 1 in the state. The Spartans just dismantled Burnt Hills in what was supposed to be a true test heading into playoffs. Amsterdam, who went 5-2, is the top seed from the Southeast Division.

Class B: This conversation can't be had without talking Schalmont, the No. 1 seed in the Reinfurt Division, and No. 2 in the state. The Sabres are 7-0 and are outscoring opponents by an average of 63-7 this year. They are coming off 76-6 and 88-0 wins. Do they know even know it's like to play a close game anymore? A 34-28 win over Burnt Hills is the only test they've had. Schuylerville (7-0) is the top seed from the West.

Class C: Hoosick Falls is the No. 1 seed. They have a 56-game Section II win streak (dating back to 2009). Need I say more?

Class D: These playoffs don't start until Week 9 of the season. Whitehall is the top seed overall.
