As we predicted on "Armen and Levack" yesterday, No. 2 Guilderland has advanced to the Class AA Boys' final by virtue of beating No.1 Green Tech in overtime, 68-62.

As alluded to in the above tweet, Guilderland's win, coupled with a Shen win over CCHS, will give the Suburban Council its first sectional title since 2000 when Colonie topped Albany.

Andrew Platek had 28 points to lead all scorers, but it was the balance provided by Andrew Sischo (16 points) that helped the Dutchmen advance to the finals.

In the other game, Shen only led CCHS 30-25 at the half, but the Plainsmen pulled away for a 68-48 win.

Four Plainsmen scored in double-figures including Tom Huerter and Brandon Fischer, who each had 17.

Shen beat Guilderland in the regular season and the two will meet for the Class AA final next Tuesday, March 10th, at the Times Union Center.
