The Bills will be without Shawne Merriman on Sunday. He will be out because of an Achilles tendon injury.  The injury really got to Merriman on Thursday during practice, causing him  to sit out of practice on Friday.  Today the team announced that he was officially out Sunday against the New York Giants.

Chris Kelsay is also out due to a calf injury leaving them with just Arthur Moats and Danny Batten as their two options at outside linebacker.  Last season Merriman finished the season on injured reserve because of a similar injury to his right tendon.  The Bills are hoping that this doesn't do the same thing to him, though Merriman said he thought that it wasn't a significant injury.
