The viral audio of Los  Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling fighting with his girlfriend was all started over a picture with one of the most happy go lucky athletes off all time Earivin "Magic" Johnson.  This is just a glimpse of what TMZ says to be over a hour of audio of Sterling going off on a discriminant rant.

“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to?”

“You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.”

“I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people.”

“…Don’t put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.”

In a year where some say that they have finally taken the big step to surpass the Lakers in L.A the Clippers "golden era" looks to die here. This comes at a time where the Clippers are at its peak in all aspects off the franchise. They have arguably the best point guard in Chris Paul who is also the NBA's Players Union President. They're the 3 seed in the Western Conference and are a title contender after having one of its best regular season going 57-25.

While players such as Chris Paul have been very tight lipped on the situation many other athletes and ex players have not.  Kobe Bryant tweeted out immediately " I couldn't play for him". Reigning NBA MVP and Champion LeBron James also weighed in saying There is no room for Donald Sterling in our league."

The President of the United Stated Barack Obama took time during a non related interview yesterday to share his opinion “When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t do really have to do anything. You just let them talk."

This puts fans in a very sticky situation if you go to the game you are still putting money right back into Sterlings pockets. If you do not go to the game you are punishing the players and the team you have stuck by and watched since they were a laughing stock.

I have never been a fan of boycotting. If I'm a Clippers I go to the game and support the players and coach Doc Rivers without wearing the Clippers logo. I have faith in newly appointed NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to handle it in a timely and orderly fashion.
