Christian Brothers Academy graduate Greig Stire had 16 points and 15 rebounds last night as the UAlbany men's basketball team rolled to an 86-61 win over UMass-Lowell on the road Wednesday night.

With the win, the Danes move to 23-7 overall and 12-3 in the America East. They also wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament. They assure themselves at least two home games in the league playoffs, and would only have to travel on the road if Stony Brook advances to the championship as the No. 1 seed.

In addition to Stire's stellar play, Peter Hooley had 16 points. Scotia native Joe Cremo also poured in 15 points while junior forward Mike Rowley had 14 and eight rebounds.

Evan Singletary and Ray Sanders each had nine points in the win for the Danes. If UAlbany can get that kind of production from its frontcourt in the tournament, the Danes could be dancing for a fourth consecutive season.
