Kyle Palmeri and Jordan Eberle had the other two PPG’s but the goal scoring has not been the story of this series. The tale of this series has been the physical play. It hasn’t been a dirty series but it is an old time checking dust up to say the least.

The long nightmare for Boston sports fans is finally over.

The Heat topped the Spurs in an epic seven-game series.  The Blackhawks took care of the Bruins in six games, with multiple games going to overtime, Game One going to triple overtime, and Game 6 being won thanks to two Chicago goals in the last 17 seconds of regulation...

Over the last few years, while I find both to be highly entertaining, I have still found myself drawn in more by the NHL Stanley Cup Playoff than the NBA Playoffs. Call me a pugilist or whatever you want, there's just something about the raw intensity that gets turned up a few notches when the NHL regular season concludes and the chase for Lord Stanley's Cup begins. Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored within 17 seconds of each other late in the third period, and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins, 3-2, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday night to win their second championship in four seasons.

A series that was destined to go seven games didn't but it was ok, because the series already had multiple overtime games including a three-overtime thriller and a wild Game 6 that saw the Blackhawks tally two late third period goals in 17 seconds in Boston for the victory.  A Stanley Cup hasn't ever been won in that fashion.  And so, the Chicago Blackhawks are 2013 Stanley Cup champs.

No chance that game 3 of the Cup finals could be better then the 1st 2 games of this finals thriller. The game wasn't as good unless you root for the Bruins. Led by Tuuka Rask, the B's shut out the Blackhawks in Boston 2-0 and hold a 2-1 lead for the Cup...

The Heat, Spurs, Bruins and Blackhawks are all vying for titles.  All have been impressive in their own way.  The Bruins battled back from a three-overtime loss in Game 1 to win in OT in Game 2.  The Spurs are one win from clinching the NBA title after two wins at home in the middle of the NBA Finals...

Hopefully Bruins fans and Blackhawk fans have nerves of steel because from the looks of it they will need it. 2 games down, 2 thrilling over time conclusions, and  cup final that is squared at 1 apiece heading to a game 3 in Boston on Monday night...
