New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman spoke to YES Networks Meredith Marakovits about the Bronx Bombers offseason moves. Cashman's comments make it pretty clear where they stand on two of their current stars and two Free Agents that were on the roster last season. Let's play a quick game of "what he said and what he really meant" shall we?

Should this Yankee have been a finalist for this award?

Very soon we'll have a conversation about Aaron Boone being the obvious choice for AL Manager of the Year but first let's address AL MVP. There is a clear problem with whoever selected the finalist for AL MVP! I understand arguments can be made for other players but the fact that Yankees' DJ LeMahieu isn't even listed as a finalist is an absolute JOKE!

When the 2019 MLB season started I think we all thought the addition of DJ LeMahieu to the New York Yankees would help but I know I had no idea how great he'd be. In a season where just about everybody has spent time on the Injured List LeMahieu has been the one constant. He plays multiple positions and he has bee the best pure hitter on the team if not in the American League. So what are the odds LeMahieu could take home the title of American League MVP?

The MLB All Star Game is Tuesday, July 9th and at least two New York Yankees will be there. The All Star starting lineups are out and Catcher Gary Sanchez and second baseman DJ LeMahieu have been named starters. Considering the number of injuries and list of previously little known players that have kept the Yankees winning this is great news.
