Ten Best Capital Region Italian Restaurants for NY Giants’ Phenom to Visit
In the blink of an eye, New York Giants' QB Tommy DeVito has developed a bit of a cult following.
After a few serviceable performances during the 2023 NFL preseason, DeVito was assigned to the Giants' practice squad. After injuries to QBs Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor, DeVito was forced into action in an NFL game for the first time earlier this season. The results were...less than ideal.
Since that time, however, DeVito has made remarkable progress as an NFL quarterback, and as his play on the field has improved, the New Jersey native's popularity has skyrocketed.
An Open Invite to 'Tommy Cutlets' To Visit These Capital Region Restaurants
Oh, and did we mention that Tommy DeVito still lives at home?
DeVito's admission that he has yet to move out of his parent's house, a quote that was documented by ESPN's Jordan Raanan, has turned him into a cult hero among Giants' fans. He's been given the nickname Tommy Cutlets, and has had hundreds of fans show up to autograph signings that he's done in recent weeks.
The nickname comes from an especially-popular DeVito quote, who said that his mother would always have fresh chicken cutlets prepared for him when he would return from games. He has also stated that "everything was taken care of" at home, including laundry and bed-making, so that he could fully concentrate on football.
He's a young, confident kid from New Jersey, and fans can't get enough of him.
Consider this to be our official invitation to Tommy DeVito: come visit the Capital Region, Tommy, so you can sample some of the best chicken cutlets, and Italian cuisine, that we have to offer.
If we actually had the chance to host DeVito here in the Capital Region, these are the Italian restaurants at which we'd want him to dine.
