The New York Mets Are In The NLCS And It Is Amazing
The New York Mets are in the National League Championship Series which is truly unbelievable. They barely got into the playoffs and just eliminated the Philadelphia Phillies. Now they are four wins away from the World Series. Francisco Lindor should be the MVP and hit a grand slam in Game Four to send the Mets to the NCLS. Both Mark Vientos and Pete Alonso had a massive series and the pitching was excellent. Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:
The New York Mets have a chance to win the World Series and that's the same team that was 11 games under .500 at the end of May. The Mets have gone from sellers at the trading deadline to a team that is very dangerous heading into the National League Championship Series for the first time in 9 years. Francisco Lindor is playing like the league MVP that he won't win but he has plenty help which comes in the form of Pete Alonso who's gotten the wake-up call. The starting pitching has been brilliant and if Edwin Diaz can lock in and be a reliable closer the Mets can best any team they face anytime and anywhere. It's one of the great stories of the Major League Season and the Mets aren't done.

The Mets will get either the Dodgers or the Padres with Game One beginning on Sunday night. I like the Mets chances to advance to their first World Series in nine years and win their first World Series in 38 years.
