Hopefully Bruins fans and Blackhawk fans have nerves of steel because from the looks of it they will need it. 2 games down, 2 thrilling over time conclusions, and  cup final that is squared at 1 apiece heading to a game 3 in Boston on Monday night.

Brilliant goaltending by Tuukka Rask Kept the Bruins in the game in the 1st period. Chicago had 18 shots in the 1st period alone. Only Patrick Sharp got a puck past Rask.

The Bruins ties the game in the 2nd period on a rebound score by Chris Kelly, his 1st of the playoffs.

The Bruins looked content to allow the play to come to them for most of the game. Boston had only 28 shots total.

For the 2nd straight game overtime was calling. This time, again, it was Corey Crawford and Rask exchanging great saves to keep the game going.

This time however, unlike game 1, the 1st over time would decide the winner. 4th liner Daniel Paille ended the contest at 13:48 when he put in a shot that Crawford had no chance to stop, a laser beam from in close that gave Boston the 2-1 win.

Chicago seemed to run out of steam. After a vibrant 1st period that saw them get 19 shots, the Hawks managed just 15 attempts the rest of the game.

The 2 overtime games matches last year's cup final in that both games 1 and 2 went extra distance. Los Angeles beat New jersey in both of those OT games unlike this series.

Game 3 will be back in Boston on Monday night for an 8:00 p.m. faceoff
