UAlbany and Siena Basketball Team Up to Fight Cancer

The UAlbany and Siena men's basketball coaches, Dwayne Killings and Carm Maciariello, may not face each other on the court this year but they are continuing the tradition to team up for the 16th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Basket "Ball", Monday, October 4th at the Albany Capital Center. This is a tremendous evening of true community camaraderie centered around the Capital Region's two Division I college basketball programs. It is definitely one of the best events of its kind.

The evening is hosted by national ESPN Radio host Freddie Coleman and will include food, open bar, silent auction and a truly inspiring program. The night will feature tributes to the "Inspiration Award" honoree Jim Hart, Founder & President of City Rocks, the "Champion of Hope" honoree Jon Scheyer, incoming Duke men’s head basketball coach and the Mary Ann Raymond Donnelly Fighting Spirit Award honoree Jenna Meier of Guilderland, NY.

You will get the opportunity to hear from and hang out with Coach Carm and Coach Killings but very honestly, with this event, their wives do all of the work and don't let them tell you differently.

There are only a few days left to join our fight with the Coaches vs. Cancer. It is a very cool way to meet, see and hear from your favorite coaches that you can't wait to see pacing in front of their benches. Most of all, it is a fun way to raise money to fight cancer. There are amazing silent auctions and other great ways to be part of of the team.
