According to the University of Albany website Coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is leaving the Great Danes and has accepted the Head Coaching position at Boston College.

In Coach Mac's two season's as UAlbany Women's basketball coach she was 24 - 8 in America East play, 45 - 20 with two trips to the post season. Coach Mac took over for  Katie Abrahamson-Henderson AKA Coach Abe and didn't miss a beat continuing the Great Danes success on their way to an amazing sixth consecutive conference title. On top of that UAlbany's website points out the following achievements that took place while Coach Mac was in charge:

Bernabei-McNamee presided over several UAlbany program records since her arrival. Imani Tate became the second all-time leading scorer in program history, finishing her career with 1,762 points, and Tiana-Jo Carter became the program’s all-time leader in career blocked shots with 154.  As freshmen, Mackenzie Trpcic (103) and Khepera Stokes (95) both surpassed the program’s freshman season assists record. And this past season, three players – Carter, Jessica Féquière, and Bose Aiyalogbe – each eclipsed 2,000 career minutes, 100 career appearances and 50 career starts as Great Danes.

We here at 104.5 The Team wish Coach Mac the absolute best at Boston College and thank her for her great work here in the Capital Region.
