Something is obviously wrong with this New York Yankees team.  Their whole lineup hitters four through nine just are not hitting, it is only Anthony Volpe, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto producing.  The starting pitching has been awful the last two weeks as the Yankees are three and ten in their last thirteen games.  Carlos Rodon and Luis Gil have been brutally bad their last two starts and so has Gerrit Cole.  But I give the reigning AL Cy Young award winner a break as he is still in Spring Training mode.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The New York Yankees currently stink. They are not good in any area and just got destroyed by the New York Mets which is rather embarrassing considering where these two teams were trending at the end of May. The Yankees will regroup, and the Mets won't continue the current pace they are one. But the reality is this. The Yankees don’t look anything like a World Series team that Yankee fans were predicting a month ago and the Mets look every bit a playoff team and a team that won't be sellers at the trade deadline. See what twists and turns are next.

The Yankees will turn things around but they need some sort of spark here soon to start a win streak.  The All Star break will come at a good time for the Bronx Bombers as they will need to reset and get back to winning baseball.
