What a turnaround the New York Mets have made here recently.  At the end of May the fanbase was ready to write this team off because of how bad they were playing.  Frustration had boiled over as you even had a player beating up a water cooler after blowing a save.  Now the Mets are above .500 and are currently a playoff team as of today and hold the third and final National League wildcard spot.  Now it is time to see what the front office including both Steve Cohen and David Stearns can get this done at the MLB trade deadline and improve their team.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The New York Mets made a remarkable turnaround from the end of May and now begin the second half of the season at Miami on Friday as the third Wild Card team in the National League. The front office needs to trade at the deadline for bullpen help. It's still the one area the Mets need to solidify. They will have to give up a few prospects to make that happen, but General Manager David Stearns owes it to the veteran players and the fans to improve the team moving forward.

I am confident that the Mets will get some pieces especially some bullpen help at the deadline and will be a playoff team.  They have a very talented roster and if they get into the playoffs I truly believe that they will make some noise and surprise some people.
