The UAlbany football team lost an intense and competitive game on Saturday afternoon on the road at CAA conference rival New Hampshire.  Their defense played its worst game of the season but the offense looked great.  Reese Poffenbarger had his best game this season under center in his redshirt sophomore year.  He did have two costly interceptions and Brevin Easton had a costly drop that changed momentum big time.  Coach Gattuso obviously was very frustrated with the result as the Great Danes led 24-14 at one point.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

The UAlbany football team despite having it's three game winning streak snapped at New Hampshire is still in great position in the CAA conference. Quarterback Reese Poffenbarger threw for four touchdown passes and his receivers Julian Hicks and Brevin Easton were outstanding each catching two touchdown passes. The defense which has been one of the best in the CAA needs to tweak a few things going into the Rhode Island game. But UAlbany is still one of the best teams in the CAA.

Next up for UAlbany is this Saturday October 21st at 3:30 when they host Rhode Island for homecoming.  It should be another good and close game that should feature a great and rocking crowd for homecoming.  UAlbany is still legit but they have to get a win here on Saturday to get the confidence back after losing 38-31 at UNH.  MJ and I will have the call right on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio and FloSports.  Make sure you always tune in to our coaches show with Coach Gattuso every Wednesday at 11:30 driven by CDTA.
