The top story of this Major League Baseball season is going to be where Juan Soto will end up for the 2025 season.  The three teams that are leading the charge are the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees.  It seems that from what I have read that the Mets are the favorites since they will offer him the most money and he is very close with their star Francisco Lindor.  It will ultimately come down to the money with Soto I believe and not that he wants to win.  His agent is of course Scott Boras and Boras typically likes to make everyone wait and will have his clients go to the highest bidding team.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

When Juan Soto gets around to deciding where he's playing next season, it will be with the team that will give him the most money. If New York fans think loyalty comes into play, think again. Soto is 26 years old and will follow the dollars and I don't think the Yankees will offer more than the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers. Yankees blew their chances of winning the World Series with Soto on the roster and now anther team gets a chance.
