RODGER'S QUICK TAKE: It’s Belmont Stakes week, and barring the unforeseen Tiz the Law, the best horse in the field, will win the first leg of the Triple Crown. It could be the start of a big summer for Managing Partner Jack Knowlton and Sackatoga Stable. It’s horse racing, and upsets happen, but Tiz the Law has trained beautifully since he rolled to an easy victory in the Florida Derby back in late March. The Belmont field which many thought would resemble that of a Kentucky Derby does not anymore. Many of the other contenders are not coming, which leaves Tiz the Law as a big favorite. If trainer Barclay Tagg can get his three year old to the finish line first on Saturday, it’s onto the Travers Stakes, with or without fans in Saratoga. Travers Saturday is expected to move to August 8th, which is more than enough time to get ready for the Mid-Summer Derby.
