Will Local Product Anthony Weaver Get An NFL Head Coaching Job?
I am rooting heavily for Anthony Weaver to land his first head coaching job of his career. The local product has an extremely impressive resume and is a former graduate of Saratoga High School. He is currently the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. He is extremely talented and is a leader of men. His players all love him and he has the resume to be a head coach. He has been interviewed by both the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Saratoga grad Anthony Weaver has earned a chance to become a head coach in the NFL. The Captain of the Notre Dame football team who was drafted in the second round of the 2002 draft by Baltimore is once again interviewing for NFL vacancies. Chicago and New Orleans are interested in Weaver who is currently the defensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins. Weaver has coached 5 NFL seasons and played for Baltimore and Houston. Weaver is more than ready for the next challenge and one of these off-season's it will happen.
Even if Weaver doesn't get a head coaching job in 2025 he will still be the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. He was such a good player at Saratoga High School and was a captain at Notre Dame and was a terrific player there too. He is an even better person than he was a player and is as a coach. The entire Capital Region is rooting for Anthony Weaver.
