The New York Football Giants have to find a way to somehow pay Saquon Barkley what he wants.  He is the best player on their offense plain and simple as number 26 is who gets the offense rolling.  He is one of the best running backs in the league and is dual threat too which is huge.  He deserves more money but he and the Giants front office including general manager Joe Schoen don't exactly have the best relationship.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

Giants can’t afford to lose running back Saquon Barkley next season because he’s their best offensive player. Giants are not going to franchise tag Barkley this off-season, but they can still sign him to a contact and keep him where he wants to finish his career. Not sure if any team will give Barkley the money, he's looking for, but the Giants need to be the highest bidder. Head Coach Brian Daboll desperately needs to win a more games next and it will be a lot harder without Barkley in the backfield.

The pressure is also on head coach Brian Daboll to win this season as it feels like if they don't, he could be gone as head coach for the New York Giants.  I like Daboll and I like Daniel Jones so their 2024 draft strategy will be very interesting.  Moral of the story is you need to pay and sign Saquon as soon as possible to keep him happy and keep your offense stays prolific and dynamic.
