Will The Albany Firebirds Win The Arena Football League Title?
The Albany Firebirds are in the championship of the Arena Football League and they will take on the Billings Outlaws. Billings beat the Firebirds just under a month ago in a controversial game especially relating to officiating. The venue for the game is quite interesting at a mall in East Rutherford New Jersey called the American Dream. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Holding the Arena Football League Championship Game at American Dream in East Rutherford New Jersey makes no sense. It's not a football facility it's a retail center with a hockey rink in the middle of it that they will convert into a football field. The Championship should always be played at the home field of the highest seed and in this case Billings Montana. Having said that Albany Firebirds fans have a short trip to cheer on the Firebirds who have pieced together a great season. New ownership has made a big difference this season both on and off the field, and Fridays matchup will produce a great game between the top two seeds in the AFL even at American Dream.

I believe the Firebirds will win in a very good and competitive game. They are a stacked and deep team and Damon Ware is such a good coach. It would cap a wild season and our good friend and co owner Rich Szesnat deserves it. The fans also deserve it the most and bring another championship back to the Capital Region here in Albany.
