The New York Rangers have consistently been the best team all season long in the National Hockey League.  Now it's time for them to deliver to their fans and win a Stanley Cup which would be their first one in thirty years.  They are a very deep team both offensively and defensively and have arguably the best goaltender in the league in Igor Shesterkin who has honestly won them at least three games in these playoffs.  The Rangers beat a very good Carolina team and now face another very good and physical Florida Panthers team.  The Rangers have to be better in five on five play because they certainly have no problem scoring on the powerplay as that has been lethal throughout these playoffs.

If all of the Rangers star players step up I would be hard pressed to see them lose.  They have an incredible atmosphere with Madison Square Garden.  The crowd has to be into it to provide some home ice advantage for the Blue Shirts.  I expect this series to go six or seven games as both teams appear evenly matched.

Game 1 went about as poorly as you could've asked for the Rangers as they now find themselves down 1-0 in the series..  The Panthers were the more aggressive team and it showed.  They won the 50/50 pucks and out played the Rangers.  Game 2 now becomes a must win for the Rangers.  Peter Laviolette as done a terrific job in his first season as manager and it is showing with this team.
