The odds are certainly in the New York Yankees favor to win the American League and advance to their first World Series in fifteen years.  Only the Tigers, Guardians, and Royals remain in the playoffs.  Local product and manager Matt Quatraro has done a tremendous job in turning around this team.  But the Yankees are by far and away the better team and should win this series.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

Nobody more deserving than Matt Quatraro to see his team advance into the America League Divisional playoff Series against the New York Yankees. The Bethlehem grad in only his second year as manager of the Kansas City Royals swept Baltimore and now gets a shot at the Yankees starting on Saturday night in the Bronx. Quatraro paid his dues as a longtime assistant coach before finally getting his chance. Matt never forgets where he came from and who helped with his journey. It will be tall order trying to knockout the Yankees, but it will be fun watching the Delmar native try and do it on the big stage.

The pressure is on as this is when it matters the most is what you do and how far you go in October.  The Yankees will have their fans rocking in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium which is a very tough place to win on the road during the MLB Postseason.  I do believe the Yankees will make the World Series and have a chance to win it.
