This is a massive year for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants.  Unfortunately they didn't pick up his 5th year option yesterday a few hours before the NFL Draft began.  Jones has had his fair share of struggles throughout his career as a Giant, but I am confident that he can right the ship this upcoming season.  Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

I was not surprised at all that the Giants didn’t pick up the 5th year option on quarterback Daniel Jones for next season. I actually like Jones a lot and think he’s sitting on a big season. He’s got plenty of talent, but he just needs to stay healthy and cut down on his turnovers. If Jones can do those two things, he will have a productive season under a new coaching staff, and prove to the Giants he’s their quarterback of the future.

While MJ and I might not have really touched on this topic today during Big Board Sports, we did touch on what a great draft the Giants had with their two first round picks last night.  Below is our full discussion and conversation on that from earlier.

The Giants had two great picks when they selected Kayvon Thibodeaux, defensive end from Oregon at #5 and then Evan Neal, offensive tackle from Alabama at #7.  These are two guys that I personally think will make a huge difference and become starters right away.  The Giants need impact players and they selected two of them last night in the first round.  As far as Daniel Jones is concerned, he has to deliver this year under Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll otherwise this will be his last year with the New York Giants.
