The Wall Street Journal's Jared Diamond joined Levack and Goz to break down the biggest stories in the MLB. When asked if the New York Yankees might possibly jump back in on Outfielder Bryce Harper he said "NO" but then he left the door open just a hair.

So here's how Diamond sees it, the Yankees are basically not going to be a factor in where Bryce Harper lands. However whenever Brian Cashman and Hal Steinbrenner are involved you just never know. So even though all evidence points to the Yankees being out you never really know. The theory that keeps them in play for Harper is the Yankees believed they had a shot at Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado next offseason. Now that Arenado is staying in Colorado for the foreseeable future will the Yankees overreact and go get Harper? I agree with Jared Diamond that it's not going to happen but I also think that Cashman and Steinbrenner "aren't done until they're done."
