Why Aren’t Harper or Machado Signed Yet?
Each week on Levack and Goz we offer up a simple question: WHY?! It could be a coaching decision, a team, a player movement or something else. Although the concept of the segment sounds simple, it truly is much harder to come to a conclusion on the topics. Every Wednesday, our "Wednesday Why?" is brought to you by the Integrative Sleep Center. Plus check out the new intro provided by Traffic Guy Vinnie.
This week's Wednesday Why topics included likely the best sports topic for the rest of the month of February. Why haven't All Star players Bryce Harper or Manny Machado signed contracts yet? Both players were rumored months ago to be in line for three hundred million dollar deals.
Why haven't they signed? Goz believes it is because Major League Baseball franchises' are "resetting" the prices of contracts for big time free agents. If teams are not willing to may want an agent wants for their client, there is a stand still. Owners believe that as the season gets closer and closer, the price for these free agents will get lower and lower. To hear the complete version of this week's edition click on the audio link below.
