Remillard Drafted, Advances to CWS in Same Week (AUDIO)
I think that La Salle High School graduate Zach Remillard has had maybe the best week in local sports history: He was drafted in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago White Sox and then helped Coastal Carolina advance to the College World Series by beating LSU in the Super Regional...
Brady and Goz Discuss Taco Bell Ordering (AUDIO)
Yesterday, with Levack and Wolf out, Brady and Goz got to host the show. And while we usually do a great job (in our own opinions) of sticking to informative sports talk, we had to break stride for a minute and discuss the etiquette of ordering at our favorite pre-show meal spot: Taco Bell...
Shen Baseball Captures First State Title
It was June 1, 2008 (I think), and we were the No. 1 seed in the Section II playoffs, having completed a great regular season. We were the No. 5 team in New York State for Class AA and we were playing Niskayuna, who had just beaten Amsterdam in a first-round game (we had a bye)...
Fishman, Ben Anderson Both Drafted By Blue Jays
It wasn't just Shen baseball star Ian Anderson who was drafted this week in the MLB Baseball Draft. While Anderson went 3rd overall to the Atlanta Braves, several other players with Capital Region ties were drafted as well:
Stephen Woods of UAlbany was drafted in the 8th round by the Giants while La Salle grad Zach Remillard was drafted in the 10th round by the Chicago White Sox...
La Salle Grad Headed to College World Series
Despite being on the road against one of the top programs in the country, the Coastal Carolina baseball team is headed to the College World Series in Omaha!
The Chanticleers swept LSU to win the Baton Rouge Super Regional. Coastal's 4-3 win means that La Salle graduate Zach Remillard is headed to the College World Series as well...
LaSalle Grad Drafted in 10th Round
Shenendehowa baseball star Ian Anderson isn't the only Capital Region native drafted so far in the MLB Draft: LaSalle baseball graduate and Coastal Carolina star Zach Remillard heard his name called in the 10th round by the Chicago White Sox...
Hockey Great Gordie Howe Dead at 88
I like to think I know a lot about sports. I like to think I know about the legends of sports. I admit though, that my knowledge of hockey comes in somewhere around average. But one name I certainly know is Gordie Howe.
It's sad to report that just a few days after Muhammad Ali's death, Howe has also died...

Beltran Pushes Yankees Back to .500
And just like that, the New York Yankees are back at .500 after a four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Ivan Nova pitched the Yankees to the 30-30 mark by tossing 6.1 innings and allowing just three earned runs. Nova is now 5-3 this year...
Shen Star Anderson Taken 3rd Overall by Atlanta Braves
Congratulations to Shenendehowa star pitcher Ian Anderson, who was selected by the Atlanta Braves with the No. 3 pick in the 2016 MLB Draft last night.
It marks the third straight year that the Capital Region has had a first-round pick as Shaker grad Jeff Hoffman was taken by the Blue Jays ninth overall in 2014 and Niskayuna grad Garrett Whitley was taken No...
I Think Ian Anderson Is Going Pro (AUDIO)
The final MLB mock drafts continue to come out and this morning I saw one draft expert projecting Shen star Ian Anderson to go No. 12 to the Red Sox, while one had him going No. 18 to the Yankees.
While Anderson has an interesting choice ahead of him about whether or not to sign professionally or go to college at Vanderbilt, I don't think it's a difficult choice for the lanky right-hander...
