We first heard that Jeff Hornacek was going to become the Knicks head coach two weeks ago, but no deal had been finalized. Now? We have that deal:

The deal seems very fair for a Knicks team that is looking to rebuild and get back to a position where it can contend in the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks usually overpay for everything so it's nice to see them pay a reasonable price for a guy that had already been fired from another job.

Hornacek, who was known for his shooting ability and professionalism with the Utah Jazz as a player, previously was the head coach of the Suns.

The Knicks let Derek Fisher go during the season this year and gave the interim gig to Kurt Rambis. There was speculation that Rambis would get the head coaching job. The Knicks had also reached out to Warriors assistant Luke Walton but he chose to take the Lakers job.
