Athlete of the Week Nominations Being Accepted

Attention Section II fans, coaches, players, and athletic directors!

Know of a varsity athlete in Section II who is performing well on and off the field? If so, we want to know about it!

Remember, we accept our "Athlete of the Week" Nominations at AthleteOfTheWeek@1045theteam.com. We review nominations on Tuesday and Wednesday and make our selections on Thursday morning.

Upon our review, we will send a questionnaire to the athletic director of the chosen athlete so they can be featured on our website, 1045theteam.com!.

Furthermore, each student-athlete will have a blog written about them on our site, and be announced at 5:30 p.m. on "Armen and Levack" on Friday afternoon.

Past winners include Tamarac softball star Brianna Matazinsky, Scotia-Glenville basketball star Joe Cremo, Shen quarterback Ryan VanGalen, and Shen star pitcher Ian Anderson.

We look to highlight athletes from all sports, and have selected players in soccer, basketball, baseball, football, field hockey and volleyball!

Remember to get your nominations in if you see great things going on in Section II!
