Albany Arena Football Team Name To Be Determined By Fans

The announcement was made official today at the Hearst Media Center that an Arena Football League team is coming back to Albany. Multiple politicians, owners and athletes addressed the media this afternoon celebrating the return of indoor football to the Times Union Center. The franchise will begin play in early spring. One of the exciting plans announced by the team today was that  fans will have a voice in what the team's nickname. Below is a excerpt from the official press release today.

"The name of the team is yet to be selected. Fans can go to http://albanyafl.com/fans/name-the-team/ and submit a team name suggestion. Final choices will be selected and made available for fan vote. The winning name will be announced after the voting period. The person that submitted the team name that was ultimately selected will receive a special team prize pack"
