America East Basketball Schedule Set

Earlier this week the America East announced the layout for the conference's 2020-2021 college basketball season. This year's schedule includes:

Full double round-robin schedule of 18 league games.

Schedule will consist of Saturday-Sunday series where a team hosts the same opponent for games on back-to-back days.

Open weekends will be built-in to accommodate postponements

America East Conference president Amy Huchthausen said this in a statement about the focus on player safety

We are universally committed to responsibly prepare an environment and schedule that safely positions each institution and the conference for basketball competition. We acknowledge this will be a unique season with many variables both within and outside of our control, but we will continue working with relevant stakeholder groups as we build towards a basketball season that prioritizes the health and safety of our teams and broader campus communities
