Bart Starr Dead at 85

The Packers legendary quarterback Bart Starr has passed away at the age of 85, as reported by ESPN.

A statement released by his family said a recent illness proved too much for the already-ailing Starr to overcome. Many of us watched Starr tough it out during a rainy jersey retirement ceremony for Brett Favre a few years back, less than a year after suffering a stroke and getting a huge roar from the Green Bay crowd.

There's no doubt he has a place in the NFL's pantheon with five championships and a lifetime of involvement with football.
