Can This New York Yankees Team Win The 2024 World Series?

The New York Yankees are poised to have the best record in all of Major League Baseball and are just one game away from clinching the American League Eastern division.  They just have to take care of the Baltimore Orioles first who have been playing some really bad baseball lately.  The Yankees however are arguably playing their best baseball of the season at the perfect time.  Luke Weaver has been excellent since taking over the closer role replacing Clay Holmes.  below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The New Yankees are playing their most consistent baseball of the season at just the right time, with the playoffs set to begin. The Yankees always have expectations to win the World Series but this season with the addition of Juan Sotto the stakes are even higher in a win or bust season. The Yankees are going to win the America League East over Baltimore who went into the tank down the stretch of the regular season, but can they get to their first World Series in 15 years? All kinds of pressure on Aaron Judge because his postseason numbers aren't good and can Gerrit Cole be a dominant postseason pitcher? Can't wait to find the answers to those questions and many more in the next month.

The pressure is on the Bronx Bombers to win and go far in these 2024 playoffs.  The American League sure seems wide open so the Yankees could very well be poised for a World Series here in 2024.
