Closer’s Saratoga Selections (July 31st)

After a crazy weekend full of surprising results, we are now more confused about the 3-year old division than we were on Friday! Good Samaritan takes the Grade II Jim Dandy on his first race ever on dirt and Girvin regained his form to take the Grade I Haskell at Monmouth Park. Maybe this 3-year old crop isn't that good or maybe it's just so deep that no one can dominate like years past. The answers will have to wait another 4 weeks until the Travers on August 26th, which sets up to be the premier 3-year old race of the year. Until then, we continue on this Monday card at Saratoga.
