Just How Good Has Chad Brown Been So Far In Saratoga?

Chad Brown continues to dominate and own Saratoga.  It has only been four days but he has already won several races and just always wins the Diana Stakes.  The local Mechanicville trainer loves Saratoga and you can see why.  His horses are always heavy favorites and bet quite often by the Saratoga Racecourse patrons.  Again nothing is better in the summer than being at Saratoga.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The 40-day Saratoga racing meet is off to a great start with the handle up 18 percent and paid attendance was 102,000 for the opening weekend. And it never gets old watching trainer Chad Brown win another Diana Stakes. The Mechanicville trainer has won it 9 times and back-to-back with Whitebeam who led start to finish on Saturday. I was wondering how fans would react to opening weekend coming off the heels of the Saratoga Belmont Stakes festival and they reacted like they always do because we can't get enough horse racing in Saratoga. Don't be surprised if next year NYRA stays in Saratoga after the Belmont Stakes is over.

The Belmont Stakes absolutely helped with the increase in both people coming and overall revenue and betting as well.  The track never ceases to amaze me and neither does the popularity and interest of the sport.  The Belmont will be back in June 2025 and we still have a long way to go for the summer 2024 meet at Saratoga but to nobody's surprise we are off to a good start.
