Last night the New York Yankees defeated the defending World Series champions Houston Astros 4-0. Astros pitcher Justni Verlander dominated the Yankees, allowing zero runs and striking fourteen hitters and allowing just three hits. However it was another pitcher that ended up costing the Astros a victory. The game was tied heading into the ninth inning until Astros pitcher Ken Giles allowed a three run home run to Yankees slugger Gary Sanchez.
