Derek Fisher's New York Knicks coaching career started on a low after losing to the Boston Celtics, 106-86, in the teams preseason opener on Wednesday night.

Tim Hardaway Jr. led the group in scoring with 18 points. Carmelo Anthony contributed 10 points on 3-9 shooting.

The Knicks as a whole shot only 40% from the field. The performance can hardly be called a team performance. The Knicks debuted seven new players, and the lack of chemistry was put on display.

The Knicks will have another crack at the Celtics this Saturday at 7:30 p.m est. The team has six more preseason games to get their chemistry right before they open up at home Oct. 29th against the Chicago Bulls.
