Goz’s Top 25 College Football Rankings (Week 10)
For the third consecutive season,I will be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. My poll philosophy all season long will remain the same and that is by ranking the teams I believe are the best twenty-five best in the country following that given week’s games. Below are my rankings and comments about each week’ biggest shake-up and changes. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know below or on Twitter @TomGozz
- LSU
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Penn State
- Florida
- Georgia
- Oregon
- Utah
- Baylor
- Minnesota
- SMU
- Appalachian State
- Oklahoma
- Auburn
- Michigan
- Notre Dame
- Iowa
- Cincinnati
- Wisconsin
- Kansas State
- Boise State
- Memphis
- Wake Forest
- UCF
Alabama still over Ohio State at 2?-That top three gets tougher and tougher each week. Did the Buckeyes have a huge win over Wisconsin? Absolutely. However with a backup quarterback playing for Alabama, I thought Arkansas would put up much more of a fight with the Crimson Tide. I'll keep Alabama at two for now but if others argued Ohio State should be even getting votes for number, I believe they have a very strong case.
Way too much love for undefeated teams?- The biggest criticism my recent poll my poll would have is that in comparison to the overall AP poll my rankings of the undefeated teams (Baylor, Minnesota, App State, SMU) is much higher than the AP's. In my defense I would say, how else should I rank them? How many 2 loss Power 5 teams SHOULD be ranked ahead of undefeated teams? By the way Minnesota and Baylor ARE Power 5 schools! They have not lost a game this season. If they lose, I will bump them back but when you are undefeated still heading into November, your team should be ranked higher than the teams who have suffered multiple losses.
