The Yankees position player roster is most likely set heading into this season. There may be a depth move here or there but I think Brian Cashman has his team (Unless Manny Machado still surprisingly signs) so I decided to make a generic lineup that would be ideal if we were looking at offense ability only:

  1. CF Clint Frazier
  2. LF Aaron Hicks
  3. RF Aaron Judge
  4. SS Didi Gregorius
  5. DH Giancarlo Stanton
  6. 3B Miguel Andujar
  7. C Gary Sanchez
  8. 1B DJ LeMahieu
  9. 2B Gleyber Torres

The takeaway here is that Brett Gardner, Luke Voit, Greg Bird and Troy Tulowitzki are all out of this lineup and also that the bottom 4 could be reversed and still be a super solid 1-2-3-4! Health has been a factor for Tulo and Bird as well as Clint Frazier but I feel if he is on the roster Opening Day, healthy and concussion free, he is ready to be an everyday player and a productive one at that. LeMahieu has some experience at first but Voit and Bird will have their chances to snag it early on. There is still plenty of confidence to go around for Voit and he should play there every day if he carries his momentum from 2018 into this year. Overall, I would love to be Aaron Boone because this is such a fun roster to play with.
