Didi Gregorius

There may not be a member of the New York Yankees post-Derek Jeter that was more loved than shortstop Didi Gregorius. After spending five seasons as one of the Yankees middle infielders Didi was left unsigned and joined his former manager Joe Girardi with the Philadelphia Phillies. Now a year later there's a chance that Sir Didi could return to the Bronx.

There are special players that end up playing for your favorite team and you bond with them on a human level not just as a fan of the game. One of those players for the New York Yankees has been Didi Gregorius. Sadly baseball is also a business and Sir Didi is no longer a Yankee. The team posted a nice goodbye to their former shortstop on Twitter.

Before we go over the biggest Free Agent names and what the odds are the New York Yankees will land them let's talk about Didi Gregorius. The Yankees decide to not make the $17.8 million qualifying offer. Meaning Sir Didi has most likely played his last game in Pinstripes. This stings a lot.
